So apparently I misspoke. I don't get the entire weekend off; however, since we're doing 4-10 hour days I do get Sunday through Tuesday off, and that's almost as good. I can do things™ and still be able to clean da floors as the local brewery (my side gig!) with possibilities of cleaning at the other places the guy owns.
In other news, the roomie won a Roomba type thing at the bingo they run on Friday nights. I found an out-of-the-way place to plug it in and today I tried it out.
Here it is, trying to figure out the stairs.
After a while, I wondered if it was following me. I went into the kitchen to fix myself some lunch, and it seemed to be always underfoot.
It did a decent job, although it didn't like the laminate "wood" floor in the kitchen. I also had to shut off the roommate's room as he has a bunch of stuff on his floor (including clothes) and it kept getting hung up on it. After it decided it had vacuumed enough it announced it was going back to its charger, whereupon it cleaned the roller underneath and with a loud vacuum noise cleaned itself. I found the whole thing a bit odd but whatever.
In other news... it is snowing... This annoys me as I have planted my pepper plants outside, and with the help of my roommate, I had to put out a tarp. I hope they survive the cold next couple days. The highs are supposed to get back into the 60s, and it's supposed to dry out some. I can only hope it warms up enough for the plants to grow into their tank and start producing peppers. If that fails I guess I will be scouting around for pepper plants for replant, and I have some cherry tomato plants I guess I could stick in there. Still, it is annoying, considering the amount of time and effort I have put into growing the plants.

Roommate apparently put the bikes out too soon. |
At the moment, I am looking out at the snow. I am glad I'm off today and tomorrow. I hate driving in snow, although it's a necessary evil I deal with in winter. It's time for the winter king to retire and warmer weather to prevail...... Such is Spring in South Dakota.
More soon! The violets and things are growing, so expect plant photos soon!
Aye,
Kraneia
