#25: Bob escapes from the Christmas box

The box sat, buried, in Dent's closet for almost a year. After shuffling things around, I managed to get it out. It now sits under a window in my room, mocking me. Smiling Santas and snowmen peek from various crumpled rolls of wrapping paper crammed in one side. I swear the box, and the plastic wrapped Christmas tree stored under my bed, talk to each other in the night.

"D'ya think she'll pull me out and put me up any time soon?"
"Shut up. She needs to unpack *me* before she even gets close to doing anything with *you*."

One mystery was shortly solved, however--there were weird plastic scratching noises when I pulled the box out, and soon thereafter, Bob the Coon-In-The-Room escaped, and has been doing what Coons-In-The-Room do: pop up in the most unexpected places from day to day.

The other day I found him like this, just chilling out. I kind of envy the little dude.

"zzzzzzzzz....."

Yesterday it rained for much of the day, so he caught up on a little light reading.

"ssssh! Don't spoil the ending for me!"

I expect to catch him in more spots in the coming weeks, or until I put the tree up (he tends to hang out on the branches after that).

This weekend marks Time Traveler's weekend at the Renaissance Faire. We're planning on going, most likely Sunday as it's a bit quieter (at least until church lets out...) Should you happen to be in the area, feel free to drop in. You may see us there....

It appears I may be taking a mini road-trip around the holidays. I think I shall go visit the youngin', and at the same time, catch up with a friend who will temporarily be in the area.

I love it when a plan comes together.

"Shouldn't there be Christmas lights on here?"

Just a reminder: if you see Christmas stuff out at the house, and it's waaaayyyy too early, blame Bob, the Coon-In-The-Room.

Stay tuned!

Aye,
Kraneia
