It's that happy time of year again, badhairs and badhairettes. This morning I went down to fill out my official paperwork and stuff for my summer job. I'm going through several emotions at the moment.
Firstly, relief that the light at the end of the tunnel is in sight--money will soon be coming back in to Badhairland, in just a few weeks. While I had a bit saved up from last summer, car bills, a couple medical issues and getting the downstairs room ready has cut into my stash o' sweet sweet cash. I hope to replenish my account soon.
Secondly, I am somewhat apprehensive. How busy will it be this summer? Will it be insanely busy since the place I work it has no entrance fee, and thus people can still have their 500 person family reunion or 200 person wedding? Or will the economy still continue to tank, to the point that no one will want to travel very far and it will be moderately busy, if at all?
Finally, and here I am almost GIDDY happy to learn this this morning: not only do I have help during the week (that second set of eyes is exTREEEMELY helpful!) but, (and here's where the Snoopy happy-dance comes in) we apparently have VOLUNTEERS. Who are planning on BEING HERE ALL SUMMER. Why does this bring me joy?
Volunteers work *weekends*. So I don't have to.
MEANING I CAN ACTUALLY DO SOME SHIT THIS SUMMER!! :-D
happy dance! happy dance! happy dance!
As a reminder, here's part of what I get to keep an eye on. It's Spearfish Falls.
Aye,
Kraneia
