The class I assumed I was failing, apparently I am not, as the exams (none of
which I have passed BTW) aren’t “weighted” as much as you’d think and count
more as a group project…. Not complaining, mind you, and I’m still going to
bust my ass turning in all the other assignments because I don’t take ANYTHING
for granted where grades are concerned. Would have been nice to have realized
this at the beginning of the semester though, before I figuratively pulled my
hair out and feel like I’m giving myself an ulcer when the last exam comes back
and it’s a 56 (yes, I know they’ve proven ulcers are caused by bacteria now,
not stress. Let me have my fantasy please!)
Fortunately, this means I’m still on track to graduate in
December. The ceremony will be at 10:00 am mountain time (or so says the school
website). It will be live streamed on
both their website and their YouTube channel, should you have nothing better to
do and want to yell at your computer screen. Got my cap/gown/tassel thing
already. Debating decorating the hat. Nothing too extreme, maybe I’ll glue
flowers on it or something. So you'll know it's me.
Less than a month to go! I can’t wait.
Thanksgiving dessert ideas. |
I have inherited an old sewing machine from a friend who
moved and no longer wanted it. The parts look like they’re fairly easy to find
and all I need at present is a new needle. And some time to fiddle with it.
Maybe once I get this whole school thing finished.
Got a new phone. It’s basically the same phone as the one I had, just this
years’ model. So it has pretty much the same features as the old one. I had to
replace the phone due to my own stupidity in having the AUX jack break off and no
one could get it out, meaning that for phone calls I had to put it on
speakerphone and I couldn’t listen to music or watch videos as the phone assumed
I had headphones plugged in.
Toying with the idea of visiting Toronto next August. This
has nothing to do with the current and future administration; there’s a Rush
convention that takes place there and since I won’t have to worry about missing
school by then (cos I’ll be out!) it seems like a good time to check it out. I’ve
never been outside of the US (unless you count the Bahamas; I went there when I
was about 7 or 8 as a family trip). I know what you’re thinking. Kraneia? Go to
a CONVENTION? Where there will be PEOPLE? I’ll have a friend with me who can
steer me clear of the bad ones, I should think. I will need to get a passport
or at least get started on the process
soon. I have a feeling the waiting list is going to get a lot longer soon…..
I don't know who took the above photo, but they're a genius. |
Catch you on the flip side!
Aye,
Kraneia
