#101: 52 Memories

In a previous post, I reflected on being baptised. This was all the more amazing due to me not being able to remember it. But, there's photos to prove it; and I quite enjoyed writing it. So I came up with a little list of memory stuff I will be sharing in the coming weeks. Keep an eye out for new posts, old  photos, and a memory or two, fresh for you. Or maybe not so fresh; I guess it depends on how you look at it. As long as it doesn't stink up the garbage, it's all good.

Of course, the winter has hit a lot of folks pretty hard here. We got a few feet a couple weeks ago; some of it is still piled up on the edges of roads here, waiting to melt away into nothingness. Kind of like those pounds you wish you could lose. New Years resolutions anyone? I made the same one I make every year: to not make any at all. Life is much simpler when your expectations are low to begin with. Then you're pleasantly surprised.

As cold and miserable as it can get here, I am quite thankful I do not live north and east of here. Some folks, who ought to be used to cold and snow but maybe not that much of it, have gotten buried in it these past days. I don't envy you folks. When I joked about sending you snow a couple weeks ago it was just that--a joke. I'm sorry if Mother Nature took me a little too seriously it seems. Again, I apologize.

Christmas went about as well as can be expected. Folks liked their presents, I got plant books, and dinner was yummy (all the more so because it was mainly cooked by other people!) Had a couple new folks join in as as well as a small dog. The more the merrier I guess.

New Years was spent at the hospital--no, nothing was wrong, was just visiting a friend at work and hung out to ring the new year in there. Had you worried for a moment there, didn't I?

Next stop is my birthday! I turn (gasp) 48. I'm getting old y'all. Looking forward to the next semester of classes, which start the 9th. One of my classes is the speech writing class. Not looking forward to that one. But I will survive.

Here's hoping your holidays were good ones, however you celebrate them.

Aye,
Kraneia
