#100: 😊

     How it started:

February 1975....

How it's going:

47 years later....

I decided to poke around the ol' external hard drive and find some stuff you maybe, just maybe, haven't seen before. As well as reflect on some stuff. Hope you don't mind that it isn't some flashy entry. But you all should be used to that by now.

I seem to have a thing for antlers...
I spent a fair amount of time poring through the ol' archives. I didn't find the original photo I was looking for; somewhere I have my baby photo scanned in. I looked like a lil alien, with a little tuft of hair sticking straight up. If I figure out where I saved it I may show you some other time.

In the mean time, you'll just have to settle for my baptism. My sister was jealous of the attention I was getting, apparently. By this time she was pretty bored and wanted to go home and play with her Barbie dolls.

From what I understand, I slept through the whole thing. Does that count as a baptism? I'm just glad it was the Methodist variety where you just get water sprinkled on your head; you crazy Baptists get totally dunked. Religion can be totally weird sometimes.

I took the above photo behind the trailer. Not sure what I was going for, really. Scared deer in headlights? I'm supposed to be a faun. I still have the antlers and ears.

Enough photos of me; let's find a few of other stuff to look at.

As I meander my way through my 4th Christmas, I wonder if I will ever make my way East again. Who knows? There are days I miss the woods and the Technicolor Trailer all decked out in its holiday lights. But I have enjoyed the challenge of colder weather, new friends, and just being in places that are totally new and strange.

I occasionally run into folks who seem confused at this "Suthin' Belle" that has moved clear across country. What, can't a gal find a change of scenery now and again? Sheesh.  I get teased occasionally at my stubborn refusal to quit saying "y'all".

At the moment, the wind is picking up apace outside. It does that a lot here, seemingly. Or at least it has done it a lot last couple weeks or so. I guess that's all a part of living up the hill as it were. All one can do is hang on and keep warm til the sun comes out again.

The plan for Christmas, as far as I can tell, is to hang out at "friendmas", munch on good stuff and hope the stuff I got for everybody goes over well. I've already sent off one Christmas present; the other couple are somewhere in the US postal system and hopefully will be here soon, so that I can get them to the appropriate folks. I'm only missing one person's gift; I hope to have that rectified in the next few days.

And now, some random photos.

We'll end this post here for now. In the mean time, I'll be taking a short break--but I'll be back with the next post soon! Hope you enjoyed this little jaunt into the depths of my hard drive.

Stay tuned for more shenanigans!
Aye,
Kraneia
