#33: The Chuckit and Phuckit Challenge

"...but everyone else thinks you're an asshole..."

Saw this today, and wasn't sure why it irritated me.

January is almost over with. It's been an odd month here in Badhairland. The weather here has been typical winter--umpteen inches of rain spread over several days. We've had a few cold days, even though the really cold stuff usually doesn't hit until next month. Looking forward to spring now.

Just what I always wanted! Something to make
my cake taste like cake!!   :-D
Lately there's been a fair amount of talk about Marie Kondō. I don't watch her show. Hadn't even heard of the woman til a few weeks ago. But her ideas kind of fit in with what I have been doing lately--chucking the stuff that is just stuff, and only hanging on to what matters.

I have found homes for quite a few things this past year.

I kinda wonder who else out there has had the same idea. I mean, if you have to move *tomorrow* and only had room in your vehicle for a few things, what would you take?

So I have a new challenge for y'all (there's my sothin' accent comin' out).

Fit everything you own in. One. Plastic. Tub.

I'm talking personal items here--books, knickknacks, etc. Maybe a few dishes from the kitchen and a pot (so you can cook dinner when you get where you are going). This doesn't include clothes, which you can pack in a suitcase. Also, I am not saying you have to necessarily get rid of everything that doesn't fit--if you really need to keep it but run out of room, you can put it in storage or have someone hold it for you.

Have got rid of quite a few books, but I admit
I could use a copy of this, sometimes.
The idea was to be able to just "cut and run" if the opportunity comes along. Just throw it in the tub, toss in the car and just GO....

So what do we call this? The one bucket challenge? The one tub challenge? How about just "chuckit and phuckit". Open to ideas, feel free to comment your own. Or tell me if you are doing similar.

Debating putting a video on YouTube or something for it, just to see what kind of response I get. Get back to you on that one. I'm not much into performing for other people, so I am liable to come off as tongue tied trying to talk.

So maybe not.

Gonna have to find homes for a lot more stuff.......

So I have had this on the ol' MP3 player for a while now. I can't help but think this is the opening theme a villian in a musical would sing. Something in the beat. It's fun in a dark, melodramatic kind of way.

Enjoy!

Stay tuned!
