#88: 🌻

Yesterday: Mid 60s, partly cloudy.
Today: 30, and winter weather advisory.
Welcome to spring in the Black Hills.

As I type this, it's a near complete white-out outside. Not that we're getting a lot of snow, it's just being blown around. A lot. And it's only going to get worse. I actually decided to play hooky from class and work. I ain't driving in that mess. Boss was understanding.

Speaking of work--it's official! I am going back to the park for the summer! Apparently, they really liked me and want me back (Also: desperate). Time to start stocking up on the sunscreen, and to dig out the work gloves and the keys to the back shed. They've already got the weekend volunteer lined up for the weekends. (yay!) Debating showing up May 1st to introduce myself when she is supposed to be "setting up camp" in the lower parking lot. I'm excited, not only will be outside again, I can snag photos again. I just haven't been into taking many photos this past winter, whether it was because of the weather or just....meh. Call it SAD or whatever.

School is progressing. Battling a slight case of possible burnout. But if I can keep it together another month or so I will be in the clear. Or at least have my weekends off again, as long as the aforementioned volunteer works out. I just gotta finish the big projects™ that are lined up....just a few more weeks.....

In other news, my basil isn't doing well. ☹️ I suspect I need to change the soil and start over. This will have to wait till it warms up again, so that I don't freeze my toes off while dumping the old stuff in the back yard.  But the pomegranate plants are all coming in. They're still a bit on the scraggly side, but they should (eventually) fill in. Oddly, my sansevieria has now decided to put out a new shoot. This after I cut one of the leaves in an effort to start new plants in the pot. So now I have a plant, some stumps.....and another leaf sticking out on the edge of the pot. Plants are weird things.

Next stop: Lead's Ren Fest at the end of May. Should you be in the area, feel free to stop in and get your medieval on. Or at least tell me I'm not the only weirdo in South Dakota 🤪

See you there!

Aye, Kraneia
