Went back to Dugout Gulch again. Most of the summer flowers have pretty much come and gone, but there were a few left here and there, if you knew where to look.
Truthfully, I noticed more bugs than anything. The beetles like the goldenrod.
A couple of water boatmen bugs skim across water as a hungry spider hangs out and watches. Look out buggies!
And of course, there were butterflies.
LOTS of butterflies.
No, really. Lots and LOTS of butterflies.
So many that at times I felt I was swimming in them, and had several try to land on me (or almost go up my nose!) It was almost a dance. Dancing with butterflies.
