#53: frozen fog
got some snow the other day which, while it was early, apparently isn't unheard of this part of the world. It had pretty much melted though, by the time I got myself together and out the door. So I had to content myself with photos of the resultant fog as the stuff melted. There's more snow in the forecast for this week, which should be interesting. We'll see how that goes.
Work has, on the whole, been a positive experience. There's been a couple of corrections, it's been a learning process all round, not to mention a learning curve. But they seem to genuinely like me. Which is a weird feeling. I am more used to people not liking me and deal better with those, than with people who do.
I have also managed a couple of grown-up things, mainly, put together a bookcase. It was a small bookcase, granted, but I managed to get it together with only a minimum of swearing. Considering the instructions all look backwards...... So now I have at least a small place to store books and assorted stuff.
Amusingly, I received an email from someone who called me an asshole. This is amusing because I haven't spoken to this person in 6 months or more, the fact that I am still taking up a part of her mind is just funny. I had stopped wasting energy on her when it seemed she was a bit on the psycho side, You know, when you talk to someone and they seem just a bit off, so you say "nah" to them and cut contact with them. Obviously this person was having a bad day and needed to vent, I suppose. Either way I am no longer even in the same state. Her email went to the spam folder where it belongs. Next!
Up next: Halloween! Going to be a bit different this year. Need to dig out my spookies lights and put batteries in. There will be a costume contest in Deadwood, maybe I will go if the weather is okay.
Stay tuned!
Aye,
Kraneia
