#51: Two Tickets To Paradise

There are days when I read stuff other people post and can't help but think, are they out of their friggin' mind? And then that tiny, not-so-subtle voice in the back of my mind--you know the one, you have one too, I should hope--it says you know, you aren't exactly the picture of sanity yourself. Still, there is a fine line between insanity and bravery, I should think.

Best I can do is shake my head and move on, I guess.

In other news, Eddie Money has apparently died. Feel free to insert "Ticket To Paradise" jokes here. Truthfully, I had no idea the man was sick. Saddens me a bit that he's gone while the Justin Beibers of the music world are still upright and breathing. Damn I sound like an old geeber complaining about  "today's crappy music...back in MY day...." Next I will be telling you I walked to school uphill both ways, and that you need to get offen my lawn....

My first official day of work is tomorrow. I won't go into much detail at the moment, except that it's in a line I have no experience in, but pays better than what I was previously doing, so I am hoping for the best. And it involves very little (less than 2%) interaction with people. Damn skippy I will move heaven and earth for these people. As long as they're patient and willing to train, it's a go. They seemed nice, but so did the people at the dollar store. And you SAW how THAT went.  Cross your fingers. Or whatever digits of choice you want to cross.

The upside is that I should be getting lots of hours, even though the busy season seems to be drawing to a close. The downside is that I will have less time for exploring and maybe less time for photos. I'll take them and post them as I can, though.

I have to keep telling myself  "You can DO this. You GOT this. You did the right thing." and so on.  There will always be the whole "not good enough" vibe in the back of my mind. I guess that's normal though.
